New Years eve party!!

Don't forget our Summitbusters New Years Eve Party!! We cant wait to ring in the New Year with our favorite peoole! Rick Nef and his band are performing at the Kaysville City New Years Eve celebration held at Davis HIgh.  Their band will be performing 80's music throughout the night.  Their performance times are:

So grab your friends and family and go enjoy watching one of our favorite bands! Then afterwards head on over to the Dusenberry's for our annual Summitbusters New Years Eve party.  Sherri will be ready to party with everyone anytime you can get there starting  at 7. Come over whenever you can! This is for you and your whole family. Bring a snack or game to share.  Get ready to join Nylin in a proving your youthfulness in our POLAR PLUNGE!! Make sure and bring your own towel if you plan to get wet.

This weekend is UEA Fall break.  There are alot of people out of town so we are going to delay our Elephant Rock run so that everyone that wants to can come. Lets meet at DHS in the South parking lot and we will head out for a run on the roads.  Its getting a little chilly in the mornings so be sure and dress warm!

Saturday, September 24th 9am Refugee Race

Hi everyone!  In lieu of our regular run, I have been asked if our running club will support a fundraising event on Saturday.  It is a 5K being held at 9am in West Kaysville at Snow Horse Elementary.  It is to raise money for the refugees in our area.  100 percent of the entry fees will be used towards education for the refugees.  It is a great cause.  Bring your friends and family and come do what we all love most!  Run!!  I will be helping with race check in so stop by and say Hi! Check in starts at 7:30am.  See you Saturday!

Saturday, September 10th No Running Club

This Saturday is the Ragnar Teton Trail run.  Nylin and his crew are volunteering and several of our group are running.  So we will have no official run this week.  Enjjoy your weekend and good luck to everyone in the Tetons!  Don't get eaten by the bears! ;) We will see you all next week!

Good morning everyone!  We have had a few requests to hit the trails again this week.  So we will meet in the parking lot on the south end of the Shoreline trail.  We will enjoy a beautiful run on one of our favorite trails!  We will miss those of you who are traveling this holiday weekend.  Happy Memorial Day to everyone! Ragnar Wasatch Back Relay

We are putting together a team to run the Ragnar Wasatch Back Relay.  It is on June 17th & 18th. This is a super fun relay.  There are limited spots and we are trying to register this weekend.  If you are interested please let me know!  Respond to this email or text me at 801-589-5687.

Blood Run 5K

Fundraiser race tomorrow!

Tomorrow morning, we are encouraging all runners to participate in the Kaysville Junior High's annual Knight Trek run to help generate funds for books and technological supplies, in lieu of meeting formally as a group.  What a great cause to run for!  It's only $10, you get a cool race shirt to wear around and show others you helped with the academic needs at the school, and you get a great workout!

It's Trail Time!!

Who can stay out of the dirt this time of year...not the Summitbusters!

Meet at the East Kaysville Wilderness Park at 7 am tomorrow morning to start the weekend off right, with a beautiful run, great friends, and a little grit between your toes!

This route can be made as long, or as short, as you like.  Great for runners, walkers, man, woman, or beast.  Come join us and bring a friend...all skill levels are welcome.

Meet at Davis High School at 7 am and we will run west Kaysville.  There are multiple routes and mileage from over Burton lane to 2nd north, or over Burton lane and head north to Shepard lane and back.  Loops are 7-11 miles, or you can stay east of the freeway and shorten it to about 3 1/2.

Antelope Island...here we come!

We have a great activity planned for this Saturday, so try to arrange to attend!

We are heading out to Antelope Island to ascend Frary Peak!  This is the highest peak on the Island.  This will be about 7 miles round trip with some technical trail work.

Plan on carpooling as there is a fee to access the Island.  If you have a State Parks pass, it will take care of that fee.  

We will carpool from two locations...first, those who need can meet at the south parking lot of DHS at 6:30 am.  We will carpool from there to meet the others at the carpool area by the gate to the Antelope Island causeway, at 7am.  Our intent is to be at the trailhead by 7:30.  Plan on about 2 hours to complete the journey, and be back home between 10 and 10:30.

That will give you the rest the day to get your yard work done!

See you at DHS at 6:30 or at the causeway entrance at 7 Saturday morning...

Jolynne Porter will lead out tomorrow morning, on the Lagoon Trail!

Meet at 7am at the south Davis HS parking lot.  You can either run from there, or drive down to the Lagoon Trail and meet the runners there.  This round trip is generally about 9 miles, but can be extended or shortened based on your needs or desires.

Happy April Fools day today...but this message is no joke!  Don't fall for any jokes today, but certainly try to pull many!

Good morning everyone!  We will meet in the DHS parking lot tomorrow at 7am.  We will head out for a run on Main Street and through the Layton Park trail.  This can be an out and back run of about 7 1/2 miles.  Or you can come back through West Kaysville and make it 10 or 11.  You can adjust the run to be as many miles as you like.  Should be a great morning! Meet at the Davis HS south parking lot at 7am Saturday morning.  Jolynne will lead the team down 2nd north to Old Mill Road, to Sunset, Shepard Lane, 50 west, and back to DHS. This route can be modified to be longer or shorter based on your individual needs.  As it stands, it is approximately 10 miles.  This will be a great start to a great weekend!

Looks like we should have a warmer night tonight and a warmer start to our day tomorrow! Meet at the south parking lot of Davis High School at 7am.  We will stay close but get some miles in.  

I'm suggesting we run south, take the backroads by Oakridge country club, and either come back on the frontage road or on the rail trail, just west of the freeway.  

Good times ahead and a great way to start your weekend...run on!

Just a quick note that the snow was incredibly awesome yesterday!  For those of you who did not make it...beg that we go again this season.  What a great and deceptive workout; the air was clear with spots of sunshine and we were all invigorated when we returned.

This week...meet at the south parking lot of Davis HS again at 7:00.  We will stay close to home, especially with the unstable weather and slick roads.  This can be a run of variable mileage based on your individual needs.  Last week we had 3 milers, 4 milers 10+ milers, and some even went up to the Nichols park trail.  Good times to be had by all :)

Hello snow!  It is sure beautiful out there!  This is my favorite time of year to run outside!   We will meet Saturday at 7am in the DHS parking lot and head out for a run on the roads.  Dress warm and come prepared for a beautiful winter run!!

Dalyn Shupe Obituary

The Shupe family has requested donations towards the funeral expenses in lieu of flowers.  In honor of this request I will be donating the money received from everyone to their account.  If anyone still wants to donate I have included the info below.  Also, here is the link to Dalyns obituary.

Shupe Funeral Information

The viewing for Dalyn Shupe will be this Friday from 5-8 at the Lindquist Mortuary in Kaysville.  There will also be a viewing from 12:30-1:30 on Saturday at the Crestwood LDS Chapel.  The funeral is Saturday at 2pm  at the Crestwood LDS chapel. (1039 E Crestwood Rd, Kaysville) 

Shupe Family

Our deepest sympathies go out to our dear friend Lynette Shupe and her family.  As many of you may have already heard, her youngest son passed away yesterday.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the Shupe family at this time.  We would like to send flowers to let them know we are thinking of them.  If you are interested in going in on these please let me know by Thursday. Meet at the south parking lot of Davis HS at 7am.  We will run to 2nd north, up to Mountain Road, then who knows where!  This route can loop back in about 4 miles, or can be routed out to over 12.

Looks like the weather may hold, but be cold...dress accordingly and come have a great start to your weekend with us!

Saturday, January 2nd 8am

Happy New Year everyone!  Thanks to everyone that joined us last night.  We had so much fun ringing in the New Year together!  The Polar Plunge was especially exciting with the 8 degree temperature! Fun times!!  Saturday we will meet in the south parking lot of the Shoreline trail at 8am.  We are meeting a little later so that the sun will be out and it will be a little warmer! We will head out for a run/hike on Shoreline and up Adams Canyon to the Adams waterfall. The waterfall is beautiful when it is frozen over (or so Rick says, I haven't seen it yet!) The trail should be nice and packed down for us.  If you are not feeling quite that adventurous you can stay on the Shoreline. See you in the morning!
